LiLo promises to take responsibility...again

It seems as if Lindsay Lohan just doesn't get it. She tested positive for some unidentified substance and is looking at jail time again. The judge didn't seem all that impressed with her the last time when she gave her a jail sentence. LiLo's time in rehab was obviously a huge fail - she really should get her money back. If some real adult, i.e. her money grubbing Mom, doesn't grab this girl by her shoulders and shake her, she is going to self destruct. Tweeting about your drug tests doesn't seem to be normal for anyone, another example of her inability to grasp reality. The courts can only do so much...let's see what the Lohan clan can do now.

What is news, what is definitely not

I am starting this blog because I read two stories in the news yesterday. One stated that 1 in 7 Americans live in poverty. The other was about the Kardashian clan - specifically KK and her mother Kris Jenner - spending, are you ready?, $100,000 on handbags. One handbag alone was $30,000. Just to put this in perspective with the first story, the poverty level in American is $22,000 for a family of four. I'm thinking that you, as I did, just drew a very sharp breath.
I don't know what these people, and their numbers are growing, do to deserve the attention or the salaries they draw. I was also lost in a number of what if's when I thought of how that money could have been used in light of this economy. 
I'm just getting warmed up and will love to hear your thoughts on this or any number of issues you want to chime in on. I will be back and my train of thought is endless. Celebrities, politicians, current issues, nothing is off limits. I do ask that we attempt to keep this as civil as possible but I will understand justified anger, frustration and simple bewilderment.
